in the Medlock Head Team Churches.
We are delighted to announce that the Bishop of Manchester, having consulted +Mark, The Archdeacon and the Team Rector is to appoint an Assistant Curate Non Stipendiary to the Medlock Head Team, based at St John The Baptist but working across the whole Team. This addition to the ministerial team will enable much needed flexibility for Richard and Paul. The appointment in no way reduces our need to actively seek out and foster other vocations within our congregations particularly as the draw down in paid clergy becomes more evident.
The Revd Paul Robinson will be licensed in mid June on a date yet to be confirmed. Paul is 44, married with two teenage children both at Crompton House and they live in Royton.
He is non - stipendiary and has a full time job working for a charity in Southport - so he does not get paid and ministers in his spare time, of course we will pay his expenses. He was ordained deacon in 2009, priested in 2010 and is currently based at St Anne's Royton. He is well respected and much loved in his current parish. Having worshipped at St Anne's for over 10 years he is moving to widen his experience.
I am sure we all look forward to welcoming him
and his family in the Summer.
